Artist: Chris Stothard, born May 1952 in Louth, Lincolnshire, has been 'into' aircraft for as long as he can remember. He started painting aircraft in 1977 and has been an associate of the Guild Aviation Artists since the early 1980's. He has paintings in private and military collections worldwide.
Write up on back of Card: The Hawker Hurricane. This aircraft was overshadowed, somewhat, by the spitfire, but the rugged Hurricane destroyed more enemy aircraft during the Battle-of-Britain than all the other defences put together!
