Write up on back of Card: Artist Chris Stothard, born May 1952 in Louth, Lincolnshire, has been 'into' aircraft for as long as he can remember. He started painting aircraft in 1977 and has been an associate of the Guild Aviation Artists since the early 1980's. He has paintings in private and military collections worldwide.
The Consolidated Catalina The Consolidated Catalina or PBY-5 Flying Boat was designed and built in the U.S.A. and Canada. The "Cat" is seen here in R.A.F. Costal Command Service attacking a German U-Boat during one of it's very long range convoy patrol flights out into the North Atlantic.
