Write up on back of Card: Artist Chris Stothard, born May 1952 in Louth, Lincolnshire, has been 'into' aircraft for as long as he can remember. He started painting aircraft in 1977 and has been an associate of the Guild Aviation Artists since the early 1980's. He has paintings in private and military collections worldwide.
The Avro Lancaster This is the most famous bomber used by the R.A.F. 7,377 Lancasters were produced in the U.K. and Canada, they flew 156,000 sorties and dropped over 608,000 tons of bombs on targets in occupied Europe during the Second World War.
