Write up on back of Card: Artist Chris Stothard, born May 1952 in Louth, Lincolnshire, has been 'into' aircraft for as long as he can remember. He started painting aircraft in 1977 and has been an associate of the Guild Aviation Artists since the early 1980's. He has paintings in private and military collections worldwide.
The British Aerospace Hawk This aircraft entered service with the R.A.F., as an advanced trainer in 1976. It was on the 6th April 1980 that the Red Arrows made their first desplay with the new 'red jet' having given up the Folland Gnat in December 1979.
